Let’s get to know me, shall we?
1. How old are you?
I’m 20 years old.
2. When did you get the inspiration to start a blog? A lifestyle one at that.
Well actually, just last year. December to be precise. I was a completely random idea that came to me. Quite frankly i had always been fascinated by the idea of a blog. Owning a piece of the internet and calling it my own. Also i needed a medium other than wattpad to showcase my books.
3. Your books? Where did you get the inspiration to start writing?
Well to be frank, the first lockdown took a bit of getting used to for me. There were so many events that happened that were just so new to me, it really was a tectonic shift from my usual routine. And the only reasonable medium I could channel it to was writing. A year later, and I’m grateful with every fiber of my being that I chose to start writing.
4. What’s your favorite thing about owning a blog?
Honestly, I could list a thousand. But by far my most favorite thing is the feeling of satisfaction you get when you see people actually engaging with your posts. I put in a lot of work and energy into my blog, it’s a way of me giving to the people. Now when I see people actually interested in what I’m doing, there is this heartwarming feeling I just cannot describe.
5. Writing or Medicine? And why?
Honestly, I can’t really pick one. And that is because both of these things have struck a balance in my life, their presence in my life creates this equilibrium and by choosing one of them, I would create a missing piece in myself (career wise) that the other wouldn’t be able to fill. In the end, they are both equally as important to me.
6. If you’re studying medicine, how and where do you get the time to blog?
I believe when inspiration hits you, you need to throw whatever you’re doing and write whatever you’re thinking down. For me, I blog during lunch breaks, during lectures just before the professor comes in. Whenever and wherever feels comfortable for me, I whip out my MacBook and start typing. My notepad also helps me greatly.
7. Where do you see your blog in 5 years?
Hopefully and with the right nurturing, having over 10,000 views per day. I want people to be able to access the bursts of potential that is my blog.
8. Finally, would you advise anyone to go into blogging just as you?
Yes. Yes. Yes. A hundred times yes! Don’t get me wrong, blogging takes time and energy. But if you have even an inkling of passion in any niche you can think of, please don’t wait to think about it, just do it! The world needs your creativity, how else would they see you if you don’t push yourself to be seen?
Well, that’s it! 8 questions that helped me help you get to know me better. I’m utterly grateful that I have a medium like this to showcase my work and I look forward to you seeing a lot of them.
