Wondering How to Verify your Google Adsense Address without PIN? You’re at the right place!
I’d like to extend my congratulations to you for making your first $100, thereby making you eligible to verify your Adsense address and remember, your first $100 is the most difficult to make. Once you’ve accomplished that, earning on Google Adsense becomes more and more seamless as time goes on.
We know that Google Adsense is one of the easiest and most effective methods to earn with your website, it’s almost like taking candy from a baby. Except this baby has put measures in place before you can take candy from it. Worry not however, Adsense has these measures in place to ensure and maintain transparency and safety.
You have to verify your account on Google AdSense before you can be paid whatever earnings you’ve made and also to continue showing ads on your website. This is to confirm the accuracy of your account information and protect you from fraud. Refusal to comply will result in cessation of display of ads on your site. Verifying your account on Google Adsense involves 3 steps;
- Identity Verification
- Address Verification
- Bank Account Verification

This is a relatively easy step. You’re required to verify your personal information for your account once your earnings reach the verification threshold. In this step, you have to provide a valid government issues ID which may be one of the following;
• Passport
• National/state ID
• Driving license
• Residence permit (not an exhaustive list).
Note: You have 45 days from the date they first ask you to verify your identity to submit the required documents in your account. After 45 days, if you haven’t provided the documents or they’re still unable to verify your identity from the documents you have provided, they’ll stop showing ads on your pages.
When you’re required to verify your identity, Google Adsense places a temporary payments hold on your account. Note that you won’t be asked to verify your address via PIN until after you’ve successfully verified your identity.
How to Verify your Identity:
On the AdSense Website, Click Payments, then Verification check. Verification may take up to 2 days.
This is a rather long step but also the most crucial.
To protect the security of your account, Google requires you to verify your payments address before they can send you any payments. After identity verification, you’ll be sent a notification where you’re to put in your place of residence. Then Google sends your a unique 6-digit Personal Identity Number (PIN) to the payments address you have provided them through international standard mail. Google doesn’t provide a tracking number for the PIN mail, so make sure your payments address can receive standard mail.
It usually takes three weeks for your PIN mail to arrive. If you haven’t received your PIN mail in three weeks, please request a replacement PIN.
HOW TO VERIFY YOUR ADDRESS:
When you receive your PIN mail, follow these steps to verify your payments address immediately:
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Payments Verification check.
- Enter the PIN exactly as it appears in your PIN mail. Note: If you enter your PIN incorrectly three times, your account will stop showing ads.
- Click Submit.
Address verification timeline
You’ll have four months from the date your PIN is generated to complete address verification. If you haven’t verified your payments address after four months, they’ll stop showing ads on your pages.
The main reason for writing this blog post is to let you know that there is in fact a way to verify your address without the 6-digit PIN. This process is only applicable in the case that your resident country has a poor mailing system and all means to get the PIN has proven abortive. The steps are as follows;
- You have to have applied for the PIN 4 times. After the duration of 4 months, Ads will stop serving on your website. (Ads do not need to stop showing on your website before you go for this step, you just need to have applied for the PIN 4 times.)
- Go to the Verification Check page and click on the question mark on the top of the screen where you’ll be asked to fill a Contact Form. Alternatively, you can directly contact the AdSense team.
- If you’re filling the contact form, you’ll be asked to provide your Publisher ID, your means of identification that you earlier used for your Identity Verification, and a document (either a bank statement, a utility bill or anything of the sort) that contains your address. NOTE that this address must be the exact one you’ve filled out in your Address column for you to receive your PIN.
- If you’re directly speaking to an AdSense Support, Explain that your country has a poor mailing system and you did not receive your PIN. They will then ask you to provide either a bank statement, or a legal document of yours that contains your Address, and once again I have to remind you it must be the same as you’ve filled out earlier on.
- Kindly wait 24-48 hours for your account to be verified. (Mine was luckily verified in less than 2 hours.)
If you’ve successfully made it to this step, congratulations!
This step involves inputting your bank account information, in order to receive your hard earned Google Adsense Payment.
HOW TO: Go under Payments, Click on Payments Info, Click on Add Payment Method. You’ll be asked to choose between a wire transfer or a Cheque. Choose whichever suits you.
NOTES ON BANK VERIFICATION:
- For US and Ireland citizens, you will have to provide your Tax information Number.
- For a wire transfer, you will have to provide a SWIFT BIC along with your other information. A SWIFT-BIC, often just called BIC, is an 8 or 11 character identification code for a particular bank. What it looks like: Your bank’s SWIFT-BIC may be printed at the top of your bank statements. If you cannot locate it, contact your bank to get their code.
Well then, that’s all of it. I have just enlightened you on How to Verify your Google Adsense Address without PIN. See you on my next blog post.
xx,
Zarah.
